BMW iX3 — Pricing Confirmed

BMW has announced a starting price of $62,850 MSRP for the 2027 iX3 50 xDrive, as published in its official pricing and range announcement. The Build Your Own configurator is live, and reservations are placed through a BMW center with a refundable $1,000 deposit. BMW of North America accelerated the retail launch, and U.S. deliveries began in September 2026.

Lexus NX — Pricing Not Yet Announced

Lexus has confirmed the 2027 NX lineup, grades, and features in its product announcement, but states that additional grade details and pricing information will be available closer to the on-sale date. We will update this page when Lexus publishes MSRP figures.

Powertrain and Performance

The iX3 uses two 800-volt electric motors at the front and rear axles. Per BMW’s model specifications, its sixth-generation eDrive technology reduces energy losses by 40 percent versus the previous generation and cuts weight by 10 percent. Acceleration figures reflect BMW AG preliminary test results.

The NX takes a different path. Lexus has adopted an e-Axle assembly integrating the transaxle, motor, and power control unit into a lighter package that lowers the center of gravity, with silicon carbide semiconductors in the inverter for efficiency. The E-Four all-wheel-drive system now operates continuously, including in straight-line driving. Lexus has not published horsepower, torque, or acceleration figures for the 2027 NX.

iX3 dimensions come from BMW’s published technical data. The iX3 also offers a 40/20/40 split-folding rear bench with backrests that recline between 23 and 31 degrees, plus a front storage compartment for charging cables.

Lexus states official EPA ratings will follow closer to the on-sale date.

BMW iX3: The Panoramic iDrive Debut

BMW Panoramic Vision projects configurable content across nearly the full windshield, paired with a free-cut Central Display and BMW Operating System X. Standard equipment includes BMW Digital Key Plus, wireless device charging, ambient lighting, and bi-directional charging that can supply backup power to a home.

Lexus NX: A 14-Inch Screen on Every Grade

The steering wheel diameter is reduced by 0.4 inches to 14.2 inches, and a Variable Rack Gear with a more responsive steering ratio is adopted across all grades. On Luxury and F SPORT grades, Sensory Concierge coordinates illumination, music, climate, seat temperature, and fragrance across three modes.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The iX3’s available Highway & Commuting Assistant enables hands-free driving up to 85 mph where conditions and speed limits allow, and is not offered in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 is standard on every 2027 NX grade.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not published 2027 ratings for either vehicle.
